Extra-Curricula - Others
Debating & Chess
Each year there are opportunities for upper primary students to represent the school at a Catholic Interschool Debating Competition and a Catholic Primary School’s Chess Competition.
St. Peter's has a long, proud and successful traditional of competing in the Rockhampton Eisteddfod. Students from all grades have the opportunity to be part of many choirs including speech, singing, signing and novelty choirs. These choirs practice throughout the year with an emphasis on fun, participation and performing at the eisteddfod and other local community events.
Performing Arts - Musical
Students will have the opportunity to be a part of a school musical on a bi-annual basis where they can sing, dance, act or participate as a member of the stage crew. Practice continues throughout the year with final shows for the parents and the community.
Visual Arts - Art in the Dark
An artist in residence works with the students on a bi-annual basis as they engage in and experiment with many artistic techniques. These items and other art work are displayed in a cultural evening where families enjoy viewing the student's work in a relaxed social atmosphere.
